When I was little, I always had a lot of questions. I also loved understanding why people did the things they did.

An avid reader, I loved understanding what made people tick and what motivated them. I studied English with a specialization in Technical Writing at UMass-Amherst, and during my time as an intern at Pearson Education discovered UX.

I moved to Spain, worked (very briefly) as an English teacher and completed a masters in informatics with a focus on interaction. From there, I began working in UX as a consultant, and after a few years started to specialize in user and design research.

12 years later, and I’m happy to call Spain my home - lucky, too, since I’ve learned Spanish here and am fully fluent, aunque tengo un acento americanco, que seguramente siempre tendré!

I have been in the start-up space for over 6 years, bringing actionable and rigorous (but agile) user research to product teams.

Empathy is key to good user research - which is why I always try to honor little, ice-cream-eating Sarah; I think she’d be pretty happy with our life.
